About MeIf you wish to continue my story you can find me on Royalroad.com, https://neovel.io/, a couple of other sites. I do come back here occasionally to make sure my links aren't broken. My new email is:
robintvaleATgmailDOTcom save that because soon I'll have a permanent website up. The problem with these platforms they can disappear, or betray writers (like with wattpad). You can find me on face book brown hair, geek glasses (ugg) and not a teenager... :P I've dropped the multitude of social media I was on as they became annoying with rules and such. I'm still on discord but I'd have to go find the link, so keep my email! This site is starting to break on browsers, look like it's a sinking ship. On second thought I'll go though my book marks for the other writing sites: https://www.scribblehub.com/ https://fictionate.me This one is the most promising, I recommend posting free chapters as I don't like the stripe payment site they make you use you can always link to ko-fi, patron, or paypal.me in your chapters. Remember you're the creator you decide how things go not these websites, not publishers, or agents! You don't need any of that. Knowledge is power. https://deanwesleysmith.com/tag/killing-the-sacred-cows-of-publishing/ You're welcome. Everything you need to know to be free is in that website take the time to read with an open mind. What he says isn't perfect but there's no harm in trying now is there? Finish the book you're currently working on and with the next one give it a shot. The end result could be complete independence. Anything worth doing isn't going to be easy, take what's taught by him in small bites. Read like one article a day. After Soul Tears is done I can't wait to try what he says. Lets, see chained to a publisher getting screwed, underpaid and books treated like rotted oranges or complete freedom? Lets go the Mark Twain way! (He self published and he had to do it the hard way and print his own books! We have it easy now with sites like Smashwords.) I choose the second one. If you pick one thing to learn from his site is read the damn TOS, read the damn contracts don't sign your life away! If a 'publisher' is doing a hrd sell and trying to get you to sign a contract maybie a little vage and oushy, then be SUSPICIOUS. They think we're stupid. If you need help reading a TOS send me the link I've gotten good at deciphering them. Another good site for you: https://www.sfwa.org/other-resources/for-authors/writer-beware/ Comments
