Born Howard (Chip) Bradford Jr., CTahid is a self proclaimed seeker of the truth and a radical thinking poet and reactionary. A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he engages in controversial debates for fun, mentors troubled youth for a living, and cherishes the opportunity to engage in the love of his life, writing poetry.
The desire to express began in high school, its here where he sensed the need to write his emotional struggle rather than punch it through a wall or let it eat its way from the inside out. While a student at North Carolina Central University he began formally committing his thoughts to verse. A black and white composition book became the pallet wide ruled so the words could be exaggerated. The result is this collection of poems filled with assessments and examinations of right versus wrong, genuine versus bizarre.
Hes intense, passionate and audacious. Journey with him as he pokes, prods and proclaims in a distinctive style that pierces your spirit and taunts your imagination.
''Word placement gets the attention,
Philadelphia is what Ill always mention;
during any introduction Im obvious,
noticed by appearances;
this experiment ends in history making,
I Put the Proof on Paper,
I'm the real thing and I can't even help it...''
