Wow, the first reference I've heard to Frank Herbert in a while. Though I used it in describing placing quotes from mythical books at beginnings of chapters. I remember the spice being addictive a leaving one's eyes blue. Did it help provide perfect clarity into the future too? That would probably have been more addictive than any physical addiction. Haven't read Dune in about 30 years. Maybe I'm due for a re-read.
Thanks for reviewing cluttered journey. I think we make many choices in our lives, some with unintended consequences. I believe there are those who choose a lifestyle and perhaps a location that permit more opportunity for leisure, for peaceful existence. I somehow imagine that living away from urban areas, and/or in a slower paced area, would make a difference in how we get to live. And there are those who consciously make such choices. I was not one of them, unfortunately I think.

Glad you enjoyed Cupid The Liar. It's hard to make those good choices, and that's not even counting those infatuations we never act on and later wonder what we were thinking.
