First think about how you want to write the story: First person, third person?

Think about the style of writing: Lots or a little bit of dialogue? Lots of thoughts?

Then think about how you want to start the story and engage the reader (a lead). Dialogue, a horror sentence, a thought?

Think about what styles and kinds of writing you want to use: description, author's crafts, etc.

Write out your lead and begin writing from there, following your plot.

Begin to write!
