How to start your book

"

There are many good ways to start out a book that it may be hard to choose how to start yours. The start of your book should depend on the genre of book your write. For example if you are writing a love story you may not want to start your book with a bloody war scene. (Although if you are able to pull that off, definitely send that to me because that would be amazing.)
Many readers tend to read the first few pages of a book before deciding if they want to continue to read it. So the beginning of your book has to lock the reader in and get them to want to keep reading.
The beginning of your book should not have the majority of the action. When you begin to write your book, write down all your ideas for your book. Make yourself a plan of the big turns and events that you want in your book. Writing these down will help to satisfy that desire to write them into the beginning of your book. You will also be less likely to forget these amazing ideas.

RECAP:
1. Have a start to your book that pertains to the genre you are writing.
2. Have an interesting start to hook in your readers.
3. Make sure not to have the majority of the action of your book be at the beginning.

**If there is anything I missed that you want me to add in another lesson, feel free to message me! I'm sure there is more I missed and I would love if you guys told me what I can add!
