Make your poetry better with grammar!A Lesson by Delilah PlainYour poetry will be better with grammar! When you write a poem, stick with the scheme you've chosen. If you choose a rhyming scheme for example: A B A B or A A B B Your "A's" should rhyme with the other "A", and your "B's". There are very many different schemes you can choose from. Your poem also doesn't have to rhyme at all. This is called Free Verse. Free Verse doesn't require a rhyme scheme, but you do have to keep a steady rhythm when writing these. Also when you write your poem the first letter in each line should be capitalized. Even if the word is in the middle of a sentence. Writing poetry is just like writing a story, only you have some kind of unique rhythm or rhyming scheme. Punctuation is just as important in poetry as it is in a story. Punctuation helps the reader understand the poem more. Have more questions? Send me a message. :) Comments |
