Step One: Your VoiceA Lesson by HaydenThe is the first step of the process of making that blue curtain into something more. :DHaving a voice is probably the most important thing here to be honest. It's important to know your voice so you can clearly communicate your message in your own, unique way. If you haven't found it yet, then keep looking! I cannot stress this enough! I wish I could tell you how to find it, but the truth is, you have to find it on u=your own. For example, I found my voice through rapping. Not a single article online would have told me to rap to find my voice. Free-styling and writing my raps have talk me how to use my voice to convey a deeper meaning. It also helped with my rhyming too. There is one thing that I can tell you to help though: Don't stop writing. Whatever you do, keep going. Explore different kinds and get out of your comfort zone and don't be afraid to fail. You probably will. I do and the only thing to do after failing is to keep improving. It'll make you a stronger writer and it also helps you next time you try and make that same mistake. Your voice will help you here because you'll be able to effectively communicate to your readers. If I tried to take Shakespeare's writing style, then it'd be hard to get what I was saying. But when I use my own style, I know what want to say and I know how to say it. For example, my piece called "Don't Forget" is all about Depression. The river represents depression. My message was depression kills and I used the river and a boy named Koda to tell you. So before continuing, I urge you to find your voice. You can do it, I really do believe you can. Comments |
