This lesson describes how to use a normal journal, which can be combined with the dream journal. This method is oftentimes the preferred method, as most of your best ideas that can become stories come randomly
Lesson Three: Keep a Journal
Simply enough, keep a journal. Buy one with the line width
you like (or no lines at all) and looks appealing. Make sure you always have
this journal on you. Whenever an interesting thought, poem or idea comes to
you, write it down. Never let anyone read from this journal; if a thought is
interesting enough to be shared, use a different medium. If someone reads from
this journal, it will be contaminated!
Keeping a journal can help you keep updated with the changes that to be taken with each step of writing. At many online universities students are taught with the techniques and all appropriate strategies through which they can learn all these skills
Great Idea! I put all kinds of stuff in my journals. I let anyone read it, if they want. Sometimes, I cut and paste other peoples stuff in my journal to get ideas or because I like it. A diary is private but a journal is a place for many many ideas and stuff.
Great advise, i have a journal my self, and love the idea.
lots of great ideas can come and go just like that, but the trick it to catch them when they're still fresh in your mind. ^_^
I use WriteRoom on my iPhone. It’s a simple text entry (no frills) software. Since I always have the iPhone with me anyway. The content is stored securely on their website and it synchronizes with Scrivener for those of you that use that writing software.
Plus I have a devil of a time reading my handwriting and typing it out makes me think the idea through more thoroughly.
Writing is my air, my bread, my daily bed. If I do not write, I will wither.
Because even Writers' Cafe has its creeps, I'll leave you with some quotes that have been important to m..
