Flame and it's definition

How can we define a flame? How colors are seen in flames?

I can tell that, a FLAME is the visible, gaseous part of a fire in short, the fuel that vapourizes during burning gives flame.

The different flare color 's are linked to the chemical composition of the material being burned and the specific wavelengths of light emitted as a result of the chemical reactions.

Fires can display a range of colors from Blue to bright yellow, and from Deep orange to Rich Red. Some metal flare display other range of colors like green; while some colorless.
