Poem Critique ChecklistA Lesson by C. RoseCreated by Constructive Critics member LawrenceRaybonPoetry can be difficult to review because it is a compressed form of literature. The Constructive Critics' Poem Critique Checklist will help get you started.
Questions include: General Questions What is your favorite part/line/stanza of the poem? Why? What is the subject of the poem? Is the subject clear? and Technical Questions Did the author use repetition? Was it purposeful or did it seem accidental? Did the repetition add to the poem or distract? Did the repetition fit into the flow of the poem or did it break up the flow?
