About Me

Wow, it's been a seriously long time since I've been on here. I signed up for this site 4 or 5 years ago intending to use it regularly, used it for about a week, then didn't look at it again, lol. I do not know why, just caught up with life I suppose.

Since then, I've graduated with an accounting degree, then promptly tried to earn a living writing, lol. I guess maybe that's why I haven't done so much recreational writing-shoemaker's kids go shoeless and all-but I plan to get back into it.

I spent a few years in sports journalism, a natural turn for me as a lifelong sports enthusiast. Then one day, something about all of that just started turning me off. It was all I could do to drag myself to a game, let alone watch it. It's a funny thing how that works I guess.

So I moved into political coverage, economic, business, and history writing, as well as personal projects. I've written a few things for some people, contributed articles to dozens of sites, and generally dabbled in a little bit of every kind of writing professionally-except for the kind I crave; That deep down, from the bottom of your soul, pour everything you're feeling right that second into a bucket, stir it up, dip your pen into it and go to town kind of writing that moves mountains. You know the kind I mean.

Recently that part of me has been reawakened. Of course, then it kind of got kicked in the teeth a little bit, but I'm hoping it stays awake this time. I hope to be a regular poster here, and start really trying to take writing seriously, get lost in my work.

I welcome all critique, regardless of how picky, detailed, or long you are. In fact, the more of those three things the better. I write primarily fiction for fun, poetry, short story type of stuff, etc. Scroll through my library of writing if you like, you'll get the picture. Most of my writing doesn't mean what it appears to. There is no carnival, in other words. Most everything when I get in THAT kind of mode is symbolic. Read what you want out of it, share what you read, I'm always interested to hear.

Thanks for stopping through. Leave some love and I'll return the favor.
