The 'One Day' Contest  August 13, 2011 - August 19, 2011

There's a movie called 'One Day' coming out soon. To celebrate this, I want to read stories that have to deal with one specific day of the year. Write to me about a day that means a lot to you, get raw, emotional, let me feel why it is that this date means so much to you or your character. Short stories only, preferably between 800-1,500 words.
I like romantic stories, but I'll accept anything, as long as it makes me feel something.
