DetailsOctober Hallowed Haiku Topic: Pumpkins
All are welcome! Beginners and Veterans of Haiku, this is the second of my monthly haiku contests. Every month there will be a topic and you are to base your entry off of that topic. OFFICIAL DEFINITION: A haiku is a SHORT poem that uses imagistic language to convey the essence of an experience of nature or the season intuitively linked to the human condition. For more information on Haikus, please join the Hallowed Haiku group! The typical American-style haiku has 17 syllables in a 5-7-5 format. The Japanese-style haiku doesn't typically adhere to that. My point being that just because you don't use the 5-7-5 format, does not mean you are disqualified. I want you to use your imagination and give me a haiku that you are proud of!
