Autumn is ending  December 2, 2010 - December 11, 2010

Here's a challenge.
Technically, fall doesn't end until December 21st (or 22nd, if you prefer). So, let me hear it. I want your best poem with an autumn theme to it.
Please, please, please don't give me one of those poems where you describe the leaves and the air and everything else that has been done many times. Bend your mind. Use the season as a metaphor, make it human, interact with it, betray it. Something creative.
