I really appreciated your thoughtful review. It is very natural to write me poems and nothing wrong with them at all. nothing amateurish about that. If you consider the dichotomy of society versus self, they are both highly self-involved. Think of Walt Whitman's leaves of grass versus Dickinson's cerebral poetry. considering our culture it is very hard to acme rocket out of ourselves. As a matter of fact, I am writing two novels that involve myself a lot, and they have been trying because of it. If you think in terms of Landscape of the Self it includes both the self and society.
