About Me

I've read less than 30 books in my entire life, 12 of them were about audio engineering knowledge and tactics and 6 were on the act of writing. I hardly ever read novels but I have seen a few movies in my day, so I feel that I have a good sense of what an exciting and morally strong story should be like. I got kicked out of high school in 11th grade for a misunderstood mental breakdown and it was around then that I started writing a lot. I never finished any books I was writing so after a while my parents prompted me to go to more school. That's where the audio engineering comes in. I did lousy in recording school because I worked on my books instead of studied, but I really wanted to be an engineer as well as an author because I had been so heavily involved in music since grade school. I put the writing aside to hone my skills in the studio, graduated, had some good opportunities to work as an assistant engineer in the industry with a good company, and now [3 years later] I'm arguably the best hip hop engineer in the Twin Cities [which doesn't mean sh!t]. Engineering takes up all of my time and leaves me with no energy to write anything but quick spoken word pieces but I'm always thinking about this one novel I started 6 years ago which is probably going to be made into a trilogy it's so long.

When I used to live in uptown I used to think everyone around there was a way better writer than I could ever be and I also believed that they had way more insight and taste in music. I could feel everyone's judgemental gaze even as I walked down the sidewalk. It was easier for me to lock myself in the studio on the other side of town where everyone that comes in is not only super talented themselves but honored to have me as their engineer and they'd accept my eccentricities. Then I felt comfortable. Where I lived was another story. I was afraid to go outside my apartment because there was such a superficial vibe going on that everyone is so wrapped up in and it seemed like nobody was themselves. I'm too real of a person to have a fake, small talk conversation with someone and I've got nothing to prove; I'm just not "Hollywood" enough to fit in around there, so now I live in a house that I never have to leave in Burnsville cuz the whole basement is a recording/mixing facility. I'll get back into writing semi-hardcore pretty soon hopefully, but engineering would have to settle down and it doesn't seem like that's going to happen ever.
