About Me
Amy Mitchell was born in Rushville, Illinois in 1984, the proud daughter of Carl and Nancy Mitchell. Her childhood was spent on a quaint farm in Illinois, learning the basics of country living. She attended grade school at Saint Mary's School in Mount Sterling, Illinois. She went on to better herself at Brown County High School where she graduated with honors in 2002. After that, she attended John Wood Community College in Quincy, Illinois and received her Associates Degree in 2004 with an emphasis in communication and journalism.
With her eye on adventure and travel, it was no wonder she ended up in California upon marrying a military man and beginning her new life as a military wife. Through that marriage she was able to travel to a number of different states in the US as well as spending three glorious years in Sasebo, Japan. Her love of culture and travel grew, even though the marriage did not last. She has high hopes that her writing will influence those around her and make them shoot for the stars. She recently received her Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management and is currently pursuing her Master's in Business.
She was published on Yahoo! Voices before the site closed down and the Fortis blog and is looking forward to many years ahead in writing. She is currently working on a novel and hopes that one day she can see her name on the cover of a book. She currently resides in Clever, Missouri with her son Lanz and boyfriend Scott. She is a force to be reckoned with!
