The sparrow is generally friendly in all seasons, though can be shy and secretive sometimes. Found in both urban and rural areas the sparrow can be very territorial and protective. Although not a water bird, the sparrow can swim if it needs to, such as to escape a predator. Though the Sparrow is considered tame, it is constantly wary of man's intentions.
