The colour purple is always a good one.

How I live now - Meg Rosoff. I read it because it's the type of age target I would write for. Really impressed, def worth a go :)

I know, it wasn't my type of movie..but it was excellent..understand totally why it won at the oscars..try it you may be pleasantly surprised
