Ankit Kumar

I was born on 8th April 1990, Patna, Bihar in India, in a middle class family of four. Anil Sinha, Sr. manager in The Times of India and Sudha Sinha, a housewife, raised me with proper care. I did 10th CBSE from St. Karen’s Secondary School and 12th CBSE from Gyan Niketan. I went on to complete my B.Tech in Information Technology from Amity University in 2012. Though initially shaky in English, I was inspired by my father who is good at creative writing; I soon got involved in writing when I was in 11th standard. During that time I wrote numerous articles and slowly went on to write a fictional novel which is still in work and unpublished.

For some time I helped my father in making Quiz questions for The Times of India. I have written articles in school and college magazines. During my tenure as a School captain, I wrote numerous speeches and articles. I was selected in the editorial department of Amity University. I also wrote articles in the College’s Sponsors Magazine. But the moment that gives me pride, was the hour long meeting with the editor of Times of India. His praise and guidance had been precious and since then provided an urge to get better consistently.

On a Drive with Life!!, as a collection of short stories, was a concept that passed my mind some 4 years back and slowly, but with dedication I have added into the collection. I presently work as a Project Engineer in Wipro Technologies, but often find time to live my passion, that is writing. I am indebted to my friends and family who have read my work and played an important role in making me and my work better.
