My real name is Angel. Sometimes I like it, often times not. I have a big passion for music and writing. I listen to the kind of music that typical girls don’t listen to - Megadeth, Rage Against the Machine, Slayer, Dio, Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, Annihilator, Lamb of God, Devildriver, Children of Bodom and a lot more.
When it comes to writing, I always keep a personal diary since my first year in college. My “barkada” had a group diary when we were in high school which was really cool. It was so colorful and full of high school craps – crushes, heartaches, grades. When I was in my early college years, I didn’t have steady friends so I just express my sentiments in my diary. I don’t write daily but only when I really need to pour out my emotions and what’s on my mind. I also write poems of love, heartaches, hate, and sometimes my fantasies. I’ve also wrote short stories of my adventure which I’d like to remember in details.
I play guitar and I had a lot of attempts to write a song or turn my poems into songs yet I think the gods may still be busy with other people and I haven’t had completed one. I also have a lot of attempts to start a band but I never reach far than joining a one-time band for our school’s battle of the bands. I can also sing but I guess the stars weren’t really aligned yet for my career in music.
Now I’m working and it’s hard to meet people of the same interest as mine and I confess I’m starting to lose hope with what I want. Add to that being the breadwinner of a family of seven. But whenever I feel inspired, I still write poems.
