Hi I’m Andy N, I’m a 42 year old writer, performer and sometimes experimental musician from the Manchester area of England.

I am a founder member of the creative writing collective ‘Trio Writers’ and helped run the open mike night ‘Poets and…’ in Bolton at Bolton Rugby Club from 2008 to 2010 and from 2010 now help run ‘Guitars and Verse’, a monthly night @ Butterflies with the magnificent Jeffarama.

I have played on and produced on a whole host of experimental albums / EPS from acts such as DIH, M.A.N., Distance, Grey Ear / White Noise to name but four from 1999 to 2009 and currently play live with ‘A Means to an End’.

I had my first poetry book published by N Press in 2009 called ‘Return to Kemptown’ as well as several ebooks called 'Love Songs for Cathy'.

I also released a split poetry book with Jeff Dawson in 2011 called 'A Means to an End'.

Two further poetry collections are in development ‘Detective Novel’ and an untitled as of yet Children’s poetry book are currently planned and I am working slowly on my first full length play.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:

I co-wrote and performed at two plays with 24 Hour Arty People at Bolton Library in 2006.

I performed at the first Turton Towers festival near Blackburn in 2007.

I performed at the first Not part of Festival at Manchester Dancehouse Theatre in 2008.

How many Poets does it take to put a light bulb fund raiser in 2008.

I performed at the first ongoing ‘The Cabaret formerly known as Bucket’ night in 2008.

I was a regular contributor to the radio station ‘Lit Media Reviews’ from 2008 to 2010

I have performed at Chorlton Arts Festival from 2008 onwards.

I co-ran and organised the ‘Poets and…’ nights @ Bolton Rugby Club from 2008 to 2010.

I have done two tours in Ireland (Cork City into Bantry) in 2009 and 2010.

I performed at the first Temporary Arts Association Festival (T.A.A.) in Manchester in 2009

I co-ran and performed at ‘Desperately seeking Alex’, a charity fund raiser for the missing poet, Alex Humphrey in 2010.

I co-organise and perform at ‘Guitars and Verse’, a monthly night @ Butterflies Bar, Bolton from 2010 onwards with Jeffarama.

I co-ran and performed ‘Unique, Driven, Determined’ a charity night for local charities (Mind, The Villa and Tameside Blind Association) in Audenshaw (2011)
