i've been writing since i was 6 years old (my mom still has the stories i wrote about the abominable snowman and the ghosts in the backyard). unfortunately, i studied something completely different and totally non-creative in college and so am just now, at 30, getting back into writing. right now, i do it for fun and a little bit of it for my job, but i would LOVE to do it full time and actually get paid to do it.
