About Me

I'm 29. I'm an elementary school librarian. Born in Yadkinville, NC in 1982. Raised by my grandmother. I have a cat named Billy. He's black with a little white spot under his neck. I love all sorts of movies and books. I haven't written anything in the past three years. I'm trying to find my motivation again. If anyone has seen my muse, please return it :)

It's my second year, too! I know what you mean about the sad stuff, but at least they're funny enough to distract you...
Summer in 2 months!!!

Okay, when I ready your story, I had no idea that you were a school librarian. That explains your understaning of what kids actually want to hear. Kudos!

Thanks so much for reviewing 'Splitting Monkey Ache'. I must admit, I was laughing my face off...as I wrote it! I'm very pleased, that you found it amusing, as well.

btw I wrote it for a contest.

Thank you for your review on "Today... Let's Have Love". It was a very personal poem for me... sometimes I feel as though my husband and I are never on an even keel... either passionately loving or passionately hating. I guess, as long as the passion is there... that's more than some people have.

Thanks again Johnathan. Both of you are correct on that piece and I updated the description to explain why.

Well, I guess one way to look at it is what you'll get out of it by giving it to them, and also if you have any expectations of their response if you do it. I have felt crushed when someone rejected my writing. On the other hand, two years ago I met someone who knew an old friend of mine, and that old friend still shares a poem I wrote for him when I was 17 years old. I'm in my 40's now. How do you think that made me feel? I don't even remember the poem, but I guess there really were times when I gave myself to others and they treasured it. i dunno...maybe we are all just afraid of folks abusing our honesty. I do know that you have something beautiful and no matter what you decide, I hope you can share it and still protect the beauty....kinda like how we should treat ourselves, right?
