I grew up in a small town in SW Louisiana. Before having my first child, I wrote mostly poetry and short stories. When she was born with Downs Syndrome, then I began writing articles on her. Now I write for a paper called The Bonnes Nouvelles (about good people, good places and good things...in our parish) I also have a column in that paper, "A Footnote of Life".
