Autumn Pendragon

My name is Autumn Pendragon. A lot of people call me Silverpen (live silvertongue from Inkheart) because I love to write about magical things and make them real.

My lips are sealed
My fingers move
Pushing pens and keys

I sing and dance through these still words
Never tiring of the rhythm
Always writing on

All my life I dreamed of them
Wishing they were real
Now they come to life as words
Living on my page

They call me Silverpen

I always imagined that I lived in a different world where magic does exist. Now, I know that I do live in that world. I make it real by believing in it. Sometimes the world is a little dark from where I sit and I come out with these poems from the very depths of my heart. When I come back to the brighter view, I read them and I have trouble putting my mind around how things could have been so bad for me to write such words. Still, the best kind of poetry is the poetry that takes a piece with it every time you share it.
I am not so good at short stories and I had never really tried them until I recently when took a creative writing class. I still haven�t mastered the art of the short, but I find that I enjoy writing them. You see, I had never been able to do it before. Every time I sat down to write one, it always ended up turning into the beginnings of a novel. Still, the short and I are better acquainted now and I think we shall see more of each other in the future.
