About Me
I spent most of my childhood overseas and have been writing steadily since I left school. My first literary heroes were E.E. Cummings and J.R.R. Tolkien, and my work has also been heavily influenced by my love of the exotic and foreign places. I have in bits and pieces a novel about centaurs, ManHorse, which actually grew out of some of my earliest writings as a boy. I am also working on a set of creation stories, Origin Cycle, which is by far the most ambitious and difficult project I have undertaken, but ultimately the most satisfying. Nearest completion is a version in verse of the Epic of Gilgamesh: I have the entire epic in first draft and have revised and copyrighted tablets I & 2. I also am a published poet (in the Antietam Review) and have an active interest in chinese & japenese poetry and lyric poetry generally. I'm hoping to get a book of my lyric poetry published soon....am getting quotes and we will see.
