Victor D. Lopez

I am a lawyer, professor of legal studies and author. My professional writing is primarily non fiction (law-related textbooks, reference books on mostly legal topics, articles in peer-reviewed law journals and law reviews). But fiction and poetry are life-long loves of mine as both a reader and writer.

A few of my poems and short stories have appeared in college literary magazines, but unlike my non-fiction almost all of which is published through traditional publishers, my books of poetry and short fiction, as well as my recent first novel, are self-published with little expectation that they will ever find a mass audience or provide significant royalty income as I do not pay for advertising or promotion.

I hope that some may find whatever I may post here entertaining, and as with almost everything I publish, I also hope it may leave my readers--be they many or few--thinking.
