I have been writing since before I can remember, but I first became truly serious about it after I turned nine. Now, nearly eight years later, I am in the middle of the second re-write of a novel - the first of a fantasy pentalogy - which it is my dream to publish. Even if that never comes true, however, I have learned so much about writing from this book that it will be more than worth it to have simply finished it.
My goals for poetry and prose are too diverse to explain, as they vary with every work. The most basic purpose, on the other hand, stays basically the same. With my poetry, it is to convey the essence of a single object, circumstance, or feeling. With my prose, it is to make the reader feel as if he (or she) is truly there. Also, rather than to take the reader away from the world in which we live, I wish to convey through my writing the hidden beauty of everything in life.
