Folks, I am a writer and I am a nobody. My goal isn't to be a somebody, it's to be a writer. Sometimes they're one in the same, sometimes they're not. If my life were a dinner it would be twelve full courses. Not the fancy kind of twelve course meal with the chilled wine, the kind with the boxed wine. It's chaotic and spontaneous. And let me tell you, boxed wine gets a person just as drunk.
I've been writing for years in an unattached way. In 2012 I got serious when I realized that I never wanted to stop writing. Every aspect of the process makes me a bit giddy. The solution: Fail at being an author. Then fail again and again. Because the whole business is extremely hard. If I love the writing process, I feel very strongly in the opposite direction of everything that happens after that point. But hey, it separates the writers from the authors. I'm still waiting for my name card to come in as are thousands out there. What shall I do while I wait? I think I'll start a story.
