I appreciate the encouragement and the advice I have received to date on my book "American Tribulation". This is a fiction work, and the setting of the book is in the perspective of a old man in his 80's, reflecting backward on events, but written say 35-40 years into our current future. Make sure you read the Prologue/Acknowledgements section to be sure you have a frame of reference where the book and its "autobiographical" writer are coming from. That might give me a better excuse for why I have absolutely no true quoted dialogue in my book. This is a man pouring out his life story from his old age memories, and there really are not "quotes" to be made, only recitations of memories. Maybe I need to revisit that perspective and approach? Suggestions on that would be appreciated. I do take kindly to a number of people sensing this book as non-fiction. It is of course pure fiction, but obviously drawing on things from my personal experiences as well as current events. I think I have a lot of fact-based info inserted that can draw people into seeing this as more than just a fictional writing. I view it (sadly) as predictional writing more than fictional writing. Thanks for the reviews and advice. I look forward to seeing more of your writing too.

"The story is written from the perspective of traditional middle-American values, realities and hard lessons which are seriously challenged by a rapidly deteriorating national and world economic situation. Absolutely certain not to garner any support from the “elites” in our nation today, this book exemplifies the can-do, commonsense, community-oriented approach to dealing with extreme challenges. The story is woven with family and community core values compared and contrasted to national and world events as a basis to explain the challenges and desperations faced in the “American Tribulation” and how one community reacted. It shows how this community overcame these events and its challenges and as a result was able to spark a remarkable recovery for the nation as a result. Read carefully and maybe take some notes in the process. You might want to ask yourself how you and your community would stack up in comparison or would react in similar circumstances. For those more interested in deeper meanings I hope you will find those. Otherwise enjoy some storytelling in the process and do not forget that the United States is a great nation and should never be underestimated… ever."
