River River

A Story by Tessa

About Me

"We work in the dark-we do what we can-we give what we have. Our doubt is our passion and our passion is our task. The rest is the madness of art." Henry James.

I write, read, and am inspired by the sea, love, madness, death.

"O! For a muse of fire, that would acend
the brightest heaven of invention" Shakespeare.

I've been doing a little writing, poetry recently, but also finished editing/co-writing a novel with another writer - and we have a contract offer, which is totally amazing to me. It's even looking like the contract is going to go through.

Thanks for the kind review. It's not really autobio, though. I like cricket sounds, but I always find it interesting when city folks I know get disoriented by nature sounds at night in the suburbs, let alone the country.

Thanks for that review and I like the idea of continuing the childs musings about his father. Also, I'm really that simple. Like cave man simple. Not like the one that works for Geiko. He's got a masters. Thanks again.

Thanks Tessa for your detailed review and encouragement. I hope you don't feel guilty, all mothers feel like this at times and have trouble letting go of their adult children.

Thanks for the review. The commas where meant to be a pause. I wanted to intentionally slow the reader down like the character was losing his breath. I've used it before and I was corrected on my use of them. So now I use them sparingly if at all.
