"Everyday is another moment, to reflect, ponder, and learn about the road that still lies ahead."

I just wanted to say thanks for the comment and thank you for being a good friend. My Poetic Wolf account is going to lay in stasis for a while as I take a good long look at the puzzle, whose pieces exploded before me. It will be interesting to see what kind of poetry ends up being the result.

Hey Todd! :) Hope you're having a wonderful Halloween Weekend! I've got a new piece that I'd like your opinion on. It's more of an essay/piece of my life.

There's the link. It's on my new account that I decided to create. If anything you might just find the link that's attached to the piece informative or interesting. :)

If a Poet was a God
Verses would grow on trees
Sap would be pure rhyme
It would rain words, and punctuation
The grass would be lines always metered
And the Sun's Stanzas would always shine

lol! I thought you might get a kick out of that. :) I've had an idea spinning around in my head. But I needed a new character to put into it. I figured you'd make a great guinea pig for the story line!

The moon shined down upon an empty Memphis street
An old man stands lonely and forgotten outside a gas station
The smell of liquor on his breath spoke of his woes,
His pains and the troubles along his long path.
A lone traveler stepped into the light from the shadows
The old man shuffles towards him, his voice stumbling.
Words of fate, God and blessings are exchanged.
A few moments in time shared at a crossing in life.
Back into the night the traveler wanders, looking back only once.
The old man had knelt upon the ground to pray, tears in his eyes, as his hand holds the small gift of three dollars.

(Ok, so the above is something that happened the other night as I stopped at a small 24 hour mini mart. I was wondering if you would like to collaborate on it and see what kind of piece we could come up with?)

A Tennessee wind courses through the ole' hills.
The leaves of fall drift by, a rainbow's offspring.
Morning grass is damp, sparkling with dew drops,
As sweet hot cider whiffs, crossing the senses.

The patches are ready and the pumpkins are ripe,
Offering themselves to the love of Jack "O"r a pie.
The old coat, still creased with a closets embrace
Wraps itself around the man, ready for winters kiss.

A moment in time, a reflection in thoughts mind
A house oddly quiet, creaks as the sun rises up.
Eyes gaze up to the old oak, weathered and wise
A voice sets out upon a whispering, "We are one."

As with the shadows long that reach from the sun
He muses his time upon the dark rich earth below.
As with the coffee that steams from a cup in hand
He knows that life has granted joy and bounty full.

Thanks for commenting on "Timepeace" :) I enjoy the fact that I have free access in using a friends photography as basis for my poetry.
