About Me
Hey! My name's Kathryn Alexander. I may only be sixteen, but don't let the age fool you; I've been writing since I knew how to hold a pencil and my writing has fooled people into thinking I'm much older than I really am. I live in the middle of nowhere in upstate New York. I hope to make it as a writer one day, but until that day arrives, I'll be committing myself to working with children. My ideal careers in the future include journalism, teaching, and any way I can write and/or work with kids. I received my black belt in karate about a year and a half ago at the dojo I've been training at since I was about eight. I teach children ages 4-6 twice a week. I love my karate family and my kids dearly. All of them have made a huge impact on my life and I'm not sure where I'd be without them.
My strengths in writing are that I can write intriguingly in the way I structure my sentences and that I'm naturally gifted in grammar and spelling (I've corrected my teachers' grammar and spelling on multiple occasions... Who knew a global teacher could write so atrociously?) My main weakness in writing is that I have a dreadful vocabulary. Compared to a lot of people my age, my vocabulary is decent, but it is nowhere near the standards I wish it to be. I have a terrible memory, which hinders my attempts at building my vocabulary.
Well, this dragged on a little longer than I'd planned it to... but I guess that's the price of being a writer! I look forward to meeting new people on here and encourage you all to be brutal when reviewing my work.
