About Me

Willkommen everyone, come in and sit down. Make yourselves at home, I'm Saskia Liddick, the most energetic and charismatic person you'll ever meet. I've been writing for 6 years, at age ten I left behind the Foster System and the Orphanage, and traded the life of terrors for the lap of luxery, where sipping fine wine and eating good steak became normal. I realized that becoming a lawyer or a doctor and missing out on 10 years of my life studying wasn't what I wanted. I wanted to get down to the nitty gritty, I wanted the raw backbone that life and society had to over me. After that lost it's glammer, I turned to reminicing about it, so I started to write. First I didn't know what to do, so I copied the styles of Robert Frost and all thsoe amazing people. Then I started my own beat, and with the help of my friends, I created a name for my religion, Agnothiest. So now I write poetry about everything and anything, including a few books, stop in and see. Lately I've been working on a stage-play, part of a monthly challenge by Chris Baty, sound interesting to you? Let me know, the challenge starts April. While you're here reading, get to know me, because I definately want to get to know you.

----------------------------------------------

For the people who have read/reviewed my work. I love you all so much, SO MUCH and everything you say is a pearl to me, I fully encourage that you tell me what you think, because I'd rather hear from you than my worst critic (and we all know who that is). So keep reading my friends, and I will read you, for my support is the most I can give, and yours is the most I can take.
Liefde!
Saskia Liddic

MY CREED
by Edgar Guest

To live as gently as I can;
To be, no matter where, a man;
To take what comes of good or ill
And cling to faith and honor still;
To do my best, and let that stand
The record of my brain and hand;
And then, should failure come to me,
Still work and hope for victory.

To have no secret place wherein
I stoop unseen to shame or sin;
To be the same when I'm alone
As when my every deed is known;
To live undaunted, unafraid
Of any step that I have made;
To be without pretense or sham
Exactly what men think I am.

To leave some simple mark behind
To keep my having lived in mind;
If enmity to aught I show,
To be an honest, generous foe,
To play my little part, nor whine
That greater honors are not mine.
This, I believe, is all I need
For my philosophy and creed.

No, no, I'd like to pretend it did happen, thank you. It brings me pleasure, in a sadistic sort of way. *grin*
