The Original Fiasco

I write, but I am not a writer. I speak with metaphors and fear life because I have not been a success. I have no patience for myself but I never let the world down. There is no smiling when you're always to preoccupied in managing other people's emotions. I make mistakes, so do you -- we can't be perfect because we're all so different. But difference is divine, beautiful, ruthless and sometimes frightening. I cannot seek out a god that doesn't know me, and that deity can't find me since I'm just another face in the crowd. I yell, I scream, I practically drown out traffic when I'm singing some modern valkyrie song. And here I thought this was about me, when really it's about you -- you wanting to know me, to get me, to understand me.

There is no fun to be had when the worlds judging you for the seventh time.
