chasing after death to call themselves brave

for they are souls and the soul is eternal

it's in a predator's nature to ruin love

a child's innocence comes and goes like a breeze

one's desires can lead to their own demise

you wear a mask to hide your dark ambitions

for yourself to protect the ones you love

those hidden truths are revealed today
