I was born and raised in Kimberley, BC, Canada, a small, suffocating sort of town. It wasn't until after I had left that I discovered a talent and a passion for writing; I'd been conditioned to believe that I was pretty much worthless and that nothing I did was ever good enough. I live in Calgary, AB, now, and I've come to realize that writing is my lifeblood, something I always have to be doing, or risk going insane. Getting published would, of course, be a dream come true, but if it never happens, it never happens, and at least I still get to do what I love.
