About Me
My name is Ian. I'm not your average guy. I am 21 years old, and was born to two Irish immigrants. I am an athlete, a student, and a soldier. If you try to fit me into a stereotype, you'll find it's extremely difficult. I don't belong to any stereotype, I am undefineable. I love the typical guy stuff, action movies, video games, and guns, but i also love art, poetry, and music. I wear anything from old t-shirts to American Eagle. I know what I want in life, and I actively pursue it. I refuse to believe that love is dead. I entirely disagree that chivalry doesn't exist in today's world, and believe it should be an integral part of our lives. I think that there should be at least one Valentines Day per month in every relationship. I think that women are a gift. I avoid confrontation whenever possible, but disrespect my family or friends or lay unwanted hands on a female and I can assure you that it will be a moment to regret. I do not think that death is the greatest loss in life, but that the greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live. I do not cry or feel bad for myself when I am hurt, but I am also man enough to admit that I cried during Schindler's List, Pursuit of Happyness, and Seven Pounds. I believe that love at first sight exists, but that it is a rare occurence in our shallow world. I believe that war may sometimes be the answer, but that peace is the best choice. I am not impressed by anyone who doesn't respect themselves or their own body. I believe that the United States of America is the greatest country in the world, but that we have some things that we need to correct and fix. Finally, "I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge, that myth is more potent than history, that dreams are more powerful than facts, that hope always triumphs over experience, that laughter is the cure for grief, and that love is stronger than death."
