About Me
Hello, Darlings!
I am a published author of two novels on lulu.com, entitled The Looking Glass:Facing the Bad Ghost, and The Awakening. I am also the proud mother of a 17-year-old son, Brandon Paul.
At present, I'm residing at Harrisburg, Illinois to be closer to my son. Guess you could say that I am trying to rebuild a life from the ashes ... literally, since I have nothing save my education from my past on which to build anything! Pretty bleak, but heck -- I was born a survivor and, as I've always said -- I'll find my way back somehow!
In addition to writing novels, I enjoy singing and playing piano, writing poetry and songs, and doing the occasional public performance, although my public performances are quite rare now, due in part to my age. In fact, I am just beginning to get into the public eye once again, and now in this part of the country - which is a bunch of hillbillies and red-neck farmers ... bluegrass and country folk! They don't do much QUEEN here, but at least I can break out with a couple numbers from Patsy Cline and get away with it! On Saturdays we all get together to sing and play music with an open-mike over in Galatia. Pretty cool.
I am a very spiritual person; I write about stuff having to do with the inner life or world; i.e., the mind, where thought patterns, ideas and ideals, emotions and personal insight and interpretation exist.
Currently, I am helping a friend out as a creative assistant at his shoe and saddle repair shop in Harrisburg, Illinois. I am in the process of rebuilding my life, so my major writing projects have taken a back seat for now.
My life has seriously changed, due to some very tragic recent losses, to include the love of my life. It seems he fell into that curse of reverse synchronicity where he no longer recognised me spiritually. If you can't understand this concept, no worries -- I will get around to explaining it one of these days. (lol) To those who have read my Looking Glass novels (Facing the Bad Ghost, and Reverse Synchronicity), you are already in-the- know.
I believe that when soul mates meet when they are not ready, they will eventually fall apart in the most tragic ways, to include DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ... the hitting, controlling, threats, etc. The push-pull struggle ... 'I love you', 'I hate you', 'I want you, but go away' ...
My son, Brandon Paul, lives in West Frankfort, Illinois, which is about a half hour away from where I currently live. Living in Florida so far away from him for so many years created a hole in my heart that no longer exists! This is the one good thing that's come out of so much tragedy and heartbreak in my life.
A wise man once said, 'Love heals the wounds life gives us.'
I believe it.
