Ashley Robel

Ever since I was a young girl I have loved to write. This could have stemmed from my own mother's love of such a pass-time and career goal. I have, in the past, written many things. However, I have never really finished anything other than a short story that I had to write for school, which I entitled "The Guest" and an alternate ending for the short story "Rappuchini's Daughter" by Nathaniel Hawthorn. Currently I am working on finishing two works; one a short story and one a novel. The first being called "Mysterious Death" and the second is still to be titled. I am also co-writing a book series with my mother, to be called "Acoustic Shadows." This is one project I am really looking forward to working on. I have never co-written with anyone, so I'm interested to see where it leads.

Aside from writing stories, I have also written many poems, three of which having been published. The titles of those poems are; My Angel, The Past, and Your Girl.

I am hoping that I can make it in the field of writing. I know it's a hard road to travel and requires A LOT of patience, but I do feel that it is worth every moment of my time. I just need to get past my 'artist's mask' and actually have faith in my muse so I can get moving again.

I am hoping to try my hand at song writing and perhaps screen writing, but I am not sure at this time.

Other interests I hold dear are singing, reading, history, and listening to music.

I have an amazing fiance', whose name is David. He is my wonderful inspiration for many of my works. Not only that, but he's also a writer, so we bounce ideas off of each other before trying them out. He's a wonderful guy, and I love him with all my heart.
