About Me
After a decade trapped by distractions, I'm pursuing my passion once again. I come from a military background...a Navy brat...and my father (now deceased) and brother, are both published writers...so I guess the drive to put pen to paper comes naturally (or unnaturally, depending on your perspective). I've lived too long...which means, I'm tired of seeing the foundations of my world crumble and move to the other side of the fence...leaving me to wonder what could possibly be better than sticking around to keep me company...because, you know, it's all about ME. :) Though I question the meter stick humans use to judge one another, I still believe in God, Country, Democracy, Fair Play, WD40, and Duct Tape. If you think hard enough...that will actually start to make sense. :)
I spent most of my life trying to become the person someone else thought I should be--you know--to be normal, and acceptable, and correct. It didn't work all that well, but I did come away from that union with three beautiful kids...and despite the scars, it's something I would never choose to change. My advice for you, is the same advice I try to hold onto...live each day as if you have a lot left and can rewind at any time. Seriously. If you try to make every thought, word, action, and choice perfect, because you might not get the chance to do it again...you're going to end up with an ulcer, or worse. You might end up dead, without ever having the chance to have lived, loved, and fucked up...like God intended. After all, if everyone was perfect, God wouldn't really have a job anymore...and I imagine things would get a little boring up there...you know...on Mt. Olympus. Yeah...whatever. Enjoy the moment. Let tomorrow worry about itself. Peace.
