Rainy Day Rachel

I can't think of I time I wasn't writing. I believe perhaps my obsession with it started in the third grade when I realized I could bring my fantasies to life and set them in permanent way when I wrote them down. Soon, I began to write short stories and in the fifth grade, I wrote a short chapter book, which I don't like to bring up a lot because it's a scary little tale filled with plot gaps and atrocious sentence structure. However, I do suppose it was a book though. Since then, I made it kind of a life goal to finish another chapter book, and this time it would be well written an not rushed.
And so, I've been working on a particular novel since around april of this year. I set a goal of finishing it by April 10, 2012 because without a deadline, procrastination would get the better of me.

Why did I make an account on this site?
Well, a few of my friends submit their writing projects here and recently, I've come to like the idea of getting critique from as many people as possible.

And that's pretty much all I have to say.
Frankly, I don't really say much. I do suppose I'm just one of those people who just sits back and just watch and experiences life. It seems, these observations and experiences show up here and there in my writing, and it brings me joy to share them with people.

That's why I write. It's my way of speaking out and sharing my life, from the funny little anecdotes to the emotional parts of growing up.
