I was born in Egypt, raised in Maadi; a middle class suburb of Cairo with trees and stray dogs and lots of expats, and currently live in New cairo. I write for both children and adults and I like to think of myself as a storyteller.

Here are a few more facts about me: I am obsessed with my weight, loud, lonely, I hate to cook and love to eat. I am light in my loafers, I feel out of place; I talk to strangers and then I regret it.

And one day I wish I can say that I think of myself as an enormously lucky person: I get to tell stories for a living; for now, I can't really say that so I don't feel necessarily lucky or special.

Make sure to leave constructive criticism on my stories. I need that.
