About Me

Writing is an unexplained energy that flows through us all. I’m not the slight bit religious or sentimental, however I’ve come to realize that writing is a rhythm and a desire for us to plunge ourselves into the consciousness of something unseen. Think of the Greek symbol of infinity (a numerical eight pushed on its side). This is what I think of when people blame the Muse, some other entity, or situation for their work. When we write, and whatever it is…we’re accessing a constant rhythm. Sometimes we might scribble down something terrible, and other times, a masterpiece.

I’m a chaos addict. When I first grabbed a book and explored poetry, metaphors of Ted Hughes, and the mythology of Yeats entranced me. Like anything, learning to write came as a challenge. After much criticism, and some confusion I liked what I saw. The reason being, after enough exposure and plenty practice, you learn to internalize the craft.

A few 'rules' from my side...

1. I don't accept Read Requests anymore
2. Leave me a comment and I'll return the favor. if I haven't just annoy me in my inbox and I'll get the message.
3. Words are free, spread creativity with as many people as possible
4. If you're looking to improve read more than you write. I'm old school that way. The fastest way to improve your self is to bury you head in fulfilling images.
5. Long live the pen!

Hahaha.

It's very thoughtful of you. Some of my friends give constructive criticism, but I still find its helpful, considerate and friendly.
As for my muse, it's been rather generous lately :)

Thanks Jonathan, it's always difficult to know whether a poet is open to crit or not, but I feel it really is the only way to hone our craft as poets, otherwise we're writing in a vacuum and progress and improvement is difficult. It's really great to find writers who are interested in creative growth.
