I've been a writer since the 3rd grade, when my output was science fiction, heavy on sound effects (tzzwap! kerchow!) and light on storyline. These days, my day job is as a writer/editor for a federal contractor in New Mexico. Although I've made my living as a magazine writer and editor, I had an unofficial minor in short story writing, so my articles were almost nonfiction short stories. I write poetry, usually at the end of a relationship, and I've published a few.
