Well for starters, I love music and I love a good movie even more. When Im not caught up in some self initiated Photoshop project you can probably find me watching a campy horror film and enjoying it thoroughly. Spending time with my beloved Mr. Newhall, though strained by distance and work schedules, is just as great as it always was. As of the current moment, finding a job has become rather taxing in my area so I stick by the only consistency I know; The Haunted Mansion.
Now let me stop myself there before I go off on a rant about how great the place is and all the memories and experiences and leave you with the understanding that this place has been in my life for nearly 8 years and well, its my home away from home. Its a haunted attraction established as a walkthrough experience where customers pay to allow you to scare them. That says it all, at least it does on my behalf. I get quite a kick out of scaring people into corners. Fear not, Im not completely sadistic for I enjoy applying theatrical make-up even more.
Role-playing is another consistency thats been pretty solid since the tender age of 11. Its a passion really, an exercise and perhaps even a relief from daily life. Think of it like writing a book with another person, or a group of other people. You pick your characters, and sometimes (when the power is in your hands) you pick your plot. In the simplest sense, its improvisational acting with a friend. The laws of the story are all there it just depends on whether you have the common sense to follow them. I usually stick to the modern day stories mostly with powerful supernatural and sci-fi undertones. I was pretty big in the X-files role-play fandom for quite a while.
That all aside, take me as a nerd or take me as a misfit whatever you see is what you get. Ill attempt submit something new and fresh every now and then but Ill probably start with some oldies from years previous. I hope youll check back and read up, tell me what you think and Ill tell you what I think.
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it. Terry Pratchett
