Your eyes, a depth I long to see,
Oceans vast, a mystery.
Emerald, sapphire, skies of blue,
Reflecting all I yearn to know of you.
My gaze held ..

Sun climbs high, a drowsy hum,
Shadows shrink, the day half done.
Birdsong softens, breezes sigh,
Lazy clouds drift in the sky.
Golden light on ..

In the mirror, I gaze and see,
A face that stares right back at me.
But in those eyes, a question dwells,
Is it me, or anybody else?
