My name is Lori Hanson – and I am a Writer Becoming . . .

I have been writing for over 20 years and only now am I finally coming into my own as a writer. I am an artist in the overall picture – and have been expanding my self-expression as an artist – which has benefited my ability to write. I have had experience writing for the web, blogs, and as a legal assistant (Patent Prosecution and General Civil Litigation).

Many years a go I began the process of opening up as a writer for the purpose of self understanding and healing through journaling. In my professional life I moved into working for a non-profit organization as a publications producer and was required to proof, edit, and write as needed on deadline. It was not long after I left my position that I started my own graphic design business, Mountain Spirit Design. I've worked at this business part-time since 1995. My skills as a writer became much more precise when I began to write for the Internet for my business – and I found it to be not only fun but a constant challenge that I loved. The more I wrote the more I loved it – and the more my confidence grew.

I have had the feeling i am going to write several books because life has inspired me to think about some things that would make a difference: writing about love and relationships - about understanding difficulties we all face - and about forgiveness and making peace with the past.

In addition to the writing interests that I shared in the previous paragraph - I am also inspired to write my autobiography at some point.
