About Me
Hi. You can call me Freeman. It's a pseudonym, but one which has served me well for some time. There's an old adage that applies here, something about things that aren't broken. Damned if I can remember it though...
About me: I'm a young Army vet who turned to writing to cope with hardship, then tried to turn that into something good. I live with my wife in Idaho, and I dream of getting my MFA in Creative Writing one day.
I write poetry, Creative Nonfiction, and Fiction of a Young-Adult/Speculative stripe. My influences include William Gibson, Cormac McCarthy, and P.D. James. I'm inspired by character-driven stories--stories about places that are familiar, yet foreign, but which focus mainly on human themes. I like seeing how people interact, and I think it's in the spaces between people where real stories lie.
Come along with me. Who knows what stories we'll discover?
